Description: |
The planetary ebula depicted here is one of the largest of its kind but one of the faintest at the same time. With 20 arc minutes it has the size of the full Moon and is located in the constellation of Lynx. The distance is estimated to be 450 light-years, therefore this is the planetary nebula that is located closest to the Earth. Late in life it is with 23 mag extremely faint. |
