M103 an open star cluster, also known as NGC 581 is a bright open cluster with the magnitude of +7.4 mag. His angular extent is about 6'. M103 is located in the constellation Cassiopeia. The distance of M103 is estimated to be about 8,500 light years. The extent of this cluster is about 15 light years. It is estimated that the age of M103 is about 25 million years. The brightest stars reach a apparent magnitude of 10.5 mag. |
